Palliative Care

Assistance, Support and Care

The BSA Palliative Care Department is here to offer support and treatment options during end-of-life care. Our team is here to help you and your loved ones determine and communicate your individual care goals.

Palliative care is medical care focused on relief of pain, symptoms and stress of a serious illness. This care may include:

  • Treatment of pain and other physical symptoms
  • Help while you or your loved one maintain the most comfortable, independent and active life possible
  • Support and assistance with emotional and spiritual distress, such as anxiety or strife
  • Guidance on difficult medical decisions, such as goals of care and any legal medical documents
  • End-of-life care
