The BSA Hazel and Ross Wilson Women's Center has amenities unlike any other hospital in the Amarillo area and offers comfort, convenience, a family-centered atmosphere and a superior medical staff. We invite you to tour the Birthing Suites and see for yourself our compassionate care in the comforts of home.

To schedule a tour of the Childbirth Center, call 806-212-2229.

At BSA you’ll experience single-room maternity care. This means that you will labor, give birth, recover and receive postpartum care all within the privacy of your own Birthing Suite. Staying in one room from admission to discharge creates a more pleasant experience for the entire family. Since there is a queen-sized bed in each Birthing Suite, Dad or a special guest can stay too. The beautifully tiled private bathroom in each suite has a Jacuzzi tub and shower for the mother's comfort during and after labor.

The outstanding healthcare team, including some of the finest nurses and physicians in the Panhandle, and the excellent programs such as Childbirth Education and Lactation Services are what sets BSA apart. Every year more than 2,000 babies are welcomed into the world at BSA.

We have an anesthesiologist available in our labor and delivery area 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to administer epidural anesthesia and help control your pain. C-section births take place in one of our two surgical suites located just steps away from the Birthing Suites.

In the event that your baby is born prematurely or needs special care, our Level III-designated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is here for you and your baby. The BSA NICU team is comprised of neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, medical social workers, discharge planners and unit managers who work collaboratively from delivery to discharge to ensure babies get the best care available. The BSA NICU was the second NICU in Texas and the first in the Panhandle to receive the designation as a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care service provider from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
