Sleep studies help your physician determine if you have a sleep disorder that may be improved with medicine or with breathing machines, such as a CPAP. Once a treatment plan is in place, you may:
When you arrive at the BSA Sleep Disorders Center, you will be greeted by one of our highly trained BSA Sleep Technologists who will show you to the private room where your study will be conducted. Our private rooms are designed to provide you with a high-quality sleep experience with hotel-like amenities including plush mattresses, 42-inch televisions and adjustable heating/air conditioning units.
Once you have settled into your room, our team will prep you for the study by connecting you to sleep monitors which will track your breathing, blood oxygen levels, brain waves, eye movement and leg muscle activity. Your comfort is our highest priority. If you have any questions or need anything during the study, you will be able to easily communicate with our staff through an intercom system.
The study will be for one night and will be completed with plenty of time for you to start your day on schedule. After your study, one of our board-certified sleep specialists will interpret your results and determine an individualized treatment plan to help you sleep soundly again.
BSA Sleep Disorders Center offers sleep studies for children, ages 3 to 17. During a one-night pediatric sleep study, specially trained technicians monitor all aspects of your child's sleep pattern, including their heart rate, oxygen levels and eye movements. Results are then interpreted by a board-certified sleep specialist and an individualized treatment plan is created.
