Safe Sitter Training Offered at BSA

BSA is offering Safe Sitter® training to local middle school students this summer. The Safe Sitter® training program is the only national non-profit devoted to preparing children to be safe in unsupervised settings, whether home alone, sibling sitting or babysitting.

The Safe Sitter® course provides kids ages 11 to 14 with the skills to be better, safer sitters. Safe Sitter® courses are instructor-led and interactive.

The following topics will be covered during each course:

  • Safety
  • Child care
  • First aid
  • Life and business skills

Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at BSA Hospital in the Organizational Development Classroom, located on the first floor. Registration is $40 per class.

Deadlines for registration:

May 21 for June 21 class

June 4 for July 2 class

July 1 for August 2 class
