On Your Way to a Better Night’s Rest

Quality sleep is essential for your overall health and well-being. Sleep disorders rob you of the sleep you need to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but we can help. When you have sleep concerns, choose the BSA Sleep Disorders Center. Our Sleep Disorders Center specializes in diagnostic testing and treatment for the full range of sleep disorders. Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the BSA Sleep Disorders Center is designed to provide a comfortable, relaxing sleep environment where you receive the highest level of care.

The BSA Sleep Disorders Center Includes:

  • A state-of-the-art facility with private rooms.
  • Hotel-like amenities including heating and air conditioning, ceiling fans, comfortable linens and mattresses, a recliner and 42-inch television.
  • Board-certified physicians.
  • Specially-trained sleep technologists.
  • Comprehensive testing of brain waves, eye movement, breathing, blood oxygen levels and leg muscle activity, among others.

What to Expect from a Sleep Study

When you visit our Sleep Center, our staff will conduct a sleep study in order to find the cause of your sleep disorder. While you sleep, a specially-trained technician monitors all aspects of your sleep. The test is painless and will finish in time for you to begin your day on schedule. Upon completion of your study, a board-certified sleep specialist will review and interpret it. The sleep specialist will determine the appropriate treatment.

On the day of your study, remember the following:

  • Do not apply lotions, creams, perfumes, hair sprays, gels or oils.
  • Bring comfortable sleeping attire.
  • If you prefer, you can bring your own pillows and blankets.
  • Do not take any naps on the day of the study.
  • Avoid caffeine after 2 p.m. and alcohol for 24 hours prior.
  • Take any medications as you typically would unless otherwise directed by your physician.
  • We do not provide a sleep aid; however, you are allowed to take one if you bring it with you unless otherwise directed by your physician.
