Palliative Care

Whether you or your loved one are facing a serious illness or near the end of life, the BSA Palliative Care team is here for you. Our goal is to ensure the best quality of life, with care and support, while still giving curative treatments. Our team is here to help you and your loved one understand and communicate your individual goals of care. Palliative care is medical care focused on relief of pain, symptoms and stress of a serious illness. This care may include:

  • Treatment of pain and other physical symptoms.
  • Help while you or your loved one maintain the most comfortable, independent and active life possible.
  • Support and assistance with emotional and spiritual distress, such as anxiety or strife.
  • Guidance on difficult medical decisions, such as goals of care and any legal medical documents.
