Fit to Work
BSA’s Fit to Work program supports Amarillo employers through evidence-based physical capacity testing and workplace injury prevention.
BSA Outpatient Therapy Services offers physical capacity profile (PCP) testing, which helps employers match the physical abilities of their employees with suitable tasks for more cost-effective and efficient operations. By assigning employees to job duties suited for their physical abilities, employers can reduce the risk of workplace injury, the need for employee absence and the expenses associated with workers’ compensation claims.
PCP testing is performed by the highly trained physical and occupational therapy teams at BSA Outpatient Therapy Services. During testing, the following will be assessed:
- Lifting capability and knowledge of safe lifting techniques
- Lower body mobility and overall range of motion
- Medical history
- Overall fitness and health
- Upper body, lower body, back and abdominal strength
After testing, results are available within 30 minutes, and the employee will be grouped into one of five categories: Sedentary Work, Light Work, Medium Work, Heavy Work or Very Heavy Work. To set up a meeting to discuss PCP testing opportunities for you employees, call Brant Capps at 806-212-0710.
