Randall County residents are getting access to faster, more reliable ambulance services thanks to a new agreement with BSA Health System. Randall County commissioners recently approved the agreement to provide ambulance services to the roughly 140,000 residents in the county south of Amarillo, which is experiencing population growth and developing population centers. It also establishes new management, training and a new deployment system for the ambulance service.
“Residents of Randall County can have peace of mind that highly skilled and trained providers are available in their time of need 24/7,” said Cassandra Harrison, licensed paramedic and director of EMS and ambulance services at BSA. “This agreement represents the strong relationship we have built with community leaders to be trusted to care for the communities they serve on multiple levels.”

The agreement received unanimous approval from the county commissioners, with some commissioners calling it a “relief.” The commissioners called it a “top priority” to ensure county residents had ambulance services as quickly as possible in their time of need.
“We value our long-standing partnership with Randall County and are proud to continue working together to support emergency medical services in our community,” said Michael A. Cruz, president and chief executive officer of BSA Health System.
Harrison says this agreement reflects a dedication to the community beyond emergencies.
“EMS service is crucial for the safety and well-being of the community,” said Harrison. “[We are] there […] not only in their time of need, but we are also members of the community and participate on and off-duty in community events.”
