Scholarship Opportunities

BSA accepts applications each year for two different scholarships to help graduating high school seniors further their education.

BSA Culture of Community Scholarship

The BSA Culture of Community Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to college-bound high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement, community involvement and motivation. A scholarship may be awarded to a student at each of the following schools: Amarillo High School, Bushland High School, Canyon High School, Caprock High School, Highland Park High School, Palo Duro High School, Randall High School, River Road High School and Tascosa High School.

Criteria: The potential recipients must be graduating seniors attending one of the nine high schools listed above. Recipients must intend to continue their education at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university during the fall semester immediately following high school graduation. Recipients have the choice of which field of study they wish to major in. Students must be enrolled as a full-time student. Scholarships will be awarded in August.

 

Amount: $500

 

Deadline: The application deadline is March 15, 2020. After this date, applications will no longer be accepted.

 

Renewal process: This scholarship is not renewable. Previous scholarship recipients cannot re-apply.

BSA Family Scholarship

The BSA Family Scholarship Fund awards a scholarship to college-bound high school senior who has a parent employed at BSA Health System based on demonstrated academic achievement, community involvement and motivation. A maximum of one scholarship will be awarded to the most qualified applicant.

Criteria: The potential recipient must be a graduating senior and the child or stepchild of a BSA employee. The recipient must intend to continue their education at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university during the fall semester immediately following high school graduation. Students must be enrolled as a full-time student.

 

Amount: The scholarship awarded will be up to $1,500. Previous scholarship recipients cannot re-apply.

 

Deadline: The application deadline is March 15, 2020. After this date, applications will no longer be accepted.

 

Renewal Process: The scholarship is not renewable.
