60 Second Sleep Tip – How Much Sleep You Need

August 5, 2021

The amount of sleep that you should get largely depends on your age.

· Newborns should get anywhere from 14 to 17 hours of sleep.

· Infants should get anywhere from 12 to 15 hours of sleep.

· Toddlers should get anywhere from 11 to 14 hours of sleep.

· Preschool children should get anywhere from 10 to 13 hours of sleep.

· Children that are school-aged should get anywhere from 9 to 11 hours of sleep.

· Teenagers should get anywhere from 8 to 10 hours of sleep, and young adults and older adults should get anywhere from 7 to 9 hours of sleep.

Remember that everyone should strive to get the optimal amount of sleep that is right for them because excessive sleep can also lead to cognitive impairments.
